I have a 40GB SIM card (calls/texts/data, but can be used as a data only SIM) which I recieved as part of a scheme. It's not personally registered to me or anything.

While you don't need to do any topping up or anything, I don't know when the SIM expires. It lasts for 6 months as part of said scheme but I can only guesstimate there's 2-3 months left, by taking this SIM please don't use it for anything critical as you will some day be disconnected - whether Vodafone send you a warning for this or it just stops, I haven't the foggiest.
