Plants with roots, pulled from our tanks.

This popular midground plant originates from Sri Lanka and is an easy species to grow as long as it is planted in a nutrient-rich substrate. The bronze-brown coloured leaves provide a beautiful contrast to the numerous greens of many planted aquaria. Under brighter lighting, growth may be more compact; conversely, under lower intensity light, the plant will become taller and thinner. Once established, this plant will send out runners that will grow to form dense communities. C. wendtii‘brown’ does not like to be moved, and may show signs of ‘Cryptocoryne melt’ when planted in a new setting. If this occurs, it is best to leave the plant alone as it will produce new shoots within a few weeks.
This plant is from our tank and is free from pesticides, therefore safe for fish tanks containing snails/shrimps.
