Book of postcards of Oxford from early 1900's some missing nine in total

A ceramic item which I have no idea about. It is missing one ear as can be seen from the photos. It seems to have been some type of light base from the open top or perhaps it once had a lid.

All of these items are at least fifty years old and many much older.

If you could give me a time within about an hour for collection rather than a three or four hour time frame that would be a appreciated.
