Scapa Denali Ski Mountaineering boots, size 44, UK 11. Designed for touring bindings, but fit most, though not all, alpine bindings. I got these specifically for the classic Chamonix - Zermatt 'Haute Route' and used them for downhill skiing since. Unfortunately my feet have changed shape and I can no longer use them. A nice touch is the removable inners for use in mountain huts or simply ease of drying/warming. Unlike most downhill boots, this style of boot is actually comfortable to walk in!
Plenty of life still for someone who wants to try ski-touring.
