Some years ago my husband mowed through the lead of our new hover mower within 5 minutes of taking it out of the box! It's been in the garage ever since!!
I have no idea whether it would work if the lead were replaced as I don't know whether any damage would have been caused by cutting the lead, but if anyone wants to keep it out of landfill......
