Synthetic filler/padding/plant protector (Randwick GL6)

This came in a box of food to insulate it but it's such a waste to chuck it out. It's soft and strong so maybe ok as a filler or to to protect plants. Very warm too. There are at least 2 pieces of it. Please state when you can collect it thanks.
