Patchwork Scraps: strings (Bedlington Station, NE22)

I'm making a string cushion but have ran out of suitable fabric. Does anyone have any patchwork cotton scraps 1 to 2" wide and approx. 9" long I could have? Any colour or pattern...as long as it is 100% cotton.
