Living Spaces Recliner Chair (San Jose California)

This Living Spaces leather recliner chair is stuck in the position shown in the picture. I bought it last December. Living spaces decided to give me a new chair instead of fixing this one. If you know how to fix it, it’s worth taking.
There are a few little cat nail holes in it as well and some sticky stuff because I put those sticky sheets on the chair once my cat started poking her nails into it. I think all the nail marks are only on the back of the chair. There is a pic of one of the nail marks.
