The two hosta plants shown in the photo badly need splitting and repotting. At least three people can have a good sized chunk of them. They spread rapidly in pots, which certainly need to measure at least 28 cm diameter at the top. The ones shown in the photo (pots are not included with the plants) are 25 cm high but I would recommend using ones that are less high but with the same 28 cm diameter, as that makes it easier to remove the plants for repotting.
They've been kept in an unheated greenhouse over the winter. I don't think they would survive a very cold winter without some covering. PLEASE NOTE: these plants are not suitable for planting out in a garden - the slugs would eat them very quickly.
