I recall it had a decently bright light. I am just being lazy - I don't want to buy new batteries. I dumped Amazon, so now this requires leaving the house. LOL!
My husband reminded me that we used to attached it to the dog lead for walks.
It takes two CR2032 3V lithium batteries. I can include the batteries for reference.
