Gardening items for a beginner (Newington EH8)

Any basic garden equipment, any age or condition is welcomed. I recently have been rehoused and for the first time in my life I have a garden. I'd love to replace the weeds with seeds and grow some fruit and veg so anything will be greatly appreciated
