Garden shredder. Stoke Gifford (Stoke Gifford BS34)

The motor works fine and the grinder goes round, I thought it was faulty but another kind freegler gave me the following information 'this may not be faulty as it's not designed light green vegetation as you've found. It is a grinder with a turning cylinder inside with very very sharp grooves in it which as you say chew up mostly wood. Wet leaves etc block the grooves. There is a knob on one side which you turn occasionally to sharpen the internal cylinder ensuring it grinds against the side but of course I expect the grinding cylinder eventually needs replacing due to wear which may have happened if yours has been used a lot.' It's big and heavy.
If you can use it please collect asap, as it's outside under a tarpaulin and bit of plastic, so will get wet if it rains. Please say when you can collect, I'm off Ratcliffe Drive.
