Iron (Wimborne,Colehill)

John Lewis iron, hardly used. Has an intermittent fault- sometimes the light does not come on when switched on at the socket. Other times it works fine. Might be an easy fix for someone before it ends up at the tip? We can't return it as the guarantee has expired.
