Cross-trainer for exercise (New Marston OX3)

It needs a repair - it uses 4 D-size batteries but the piece held the batteries in place (with a connection to complete the electrical circuit) completely broke off and we have lost it. So this would need someone who can repair that. Other parts would have the cross-trainer were working fine before we lost this part.
