Faulty tumble dryer (Green Street Green BR6)

Faulty vented tumble dryer. This was working up until this week. Then it started to cut out. I think it’s a faulty dial as it started up again then cut out after whacking the dial once or twice. Now it just makes a buzzing from the control dial. Any use to anyone before I send to tip?
