The author passed away the year that 'Y' was published, so there is no Z.

I have nearly the whole set, except the last three, W, X, & Y, and there is a gap or two in the middle.
Like all series, they are best read in order, and all the missing ones are available to borrow from Northumberland Libraries.

The leading character is a female P.I. living in California, and the books are well written - I enjoyed them.
