Are you a Kalanchoe plant whisperer? These aren't my niche. I adopted them as stragglers and, while much improved with proper lighting and constrained watering since I received them, I just don't have the inspiration to continue their lineage -- even though I just repotted them!
What I was told is that they have hot pink or yellow flowers. They are dwarf variety.
Freecycle teaches me to feel where the abundance will thrive, and let go, *even when I just invested* in something.
I have been forcing these rescues to seek re-rooting and generate new explorer/daughter roots. Just repotted with a drainage substrate, then mostly lighly-amended (compost) general-purpose good drainage soil, and a top layer of rich mycelial soil-improvement dirt (Rosy brand).
This was to give them an enrichment time with nutrient boost before snip-snipping them to shreds, to make hardy propagation cuttings.
But..I just don't love Kalanchoes, and we're all excited about other projects already underway here. We don't have room for me to make abundant kalanchoes.
You?
