Unusual Bamboo (Presteigne LD8)

Someone gave me this the other day for my Japanese garden. It’s so green, and thick stemmed and it made me think... there’s more to bamboo than garden canes and invasive runners! So, suitably contained, I would like to plant some unuusual bamboos, like blue/white chungi (the garden is sheltered) or blue dragon, and red ones and zig-zags and ones thick as totem poles (ok maybe that’s going to far!).

So does anyone have an usual bamboo they I can cut some canes away from the clump... let’s face it, if you have bamboo one can always cut some away... after all it will be back next week.
