IKEA RUNNEN AstroTurf Tiles (Heelands, MK13)

There are approx 41 full tiles, 7 tiles with one edge tongue cut off, and 12 half/offcut tiles.

Tiles are 30cm square and you can still buy them for about £35 for 9 at IKEA

AstroTurf has pile direction like a carpet. If you look at IKEA store displays the pile direction is usually different on different tiles. It makes them look unnatural and the squares more obvious. These were laid with all the grain in the same direction, and edged by the dark grey RUNNEN tiles. This meant that some of the grass tiles were in the wrong orientation when meeting the dark grey ones, so I cut off the tongues where there were 2 together. It didn’t cause me a problem with sturdiness but it made the grass look better and also easier to broom the surface to stop it going flat.

They are a few years old so they will require a clean.
