House plant - Bromeliad (Cheadle Hulme SK8)

This Bromeliad has the potential to be a lovely plant but it isn't happy where it currently sits in my kitchen and I've no-where else to put it.
It is from Waitrose and although the leaves look a bit brown due to the sun that comes into my kitchen window, it is growing 2 'babies', which I would hope could be re-potted.

I hope someone might be keen to rescue it?

I live in the Cheadle area, near the Mickerbrook pub and Lidl on Councillor Lane.
