This is a Vax Mach Air upright vacuum cleaner. I took it apart for cleaning but have totally failed to put it together such that things line up as they should.
I've given up with it. If anybody thinks they can do better, you're welcome to it. It was working fine when I took it apart... I'm in Tile Hill.
