1980 Aiwa Cassette Deck M-800 (off Canyon Road, Redwood City)

Checked out the electro-mechanics of this unit and it seems that everything wants to work But the main drive belt has turned to sticky "gummy worms". Other than that the motors and solenoids operate.
I have, in the past, used plain rubber bands successfully as temporary replacements for drive belts on other cassette drives.
