Large clothes steamer (L20)

Made by Conair. It was working well till the other day. Now, the lights go on but no steam comes out. I suspect there could be some sort of blockage in the tube, but can't get it off. I did notice steam was coming out at the tube, below the attachment holder, so I taped it up and it was ok.bive removed most of the tape, but it hasn't helped.
If anybody is interested, it must be collected...we don't drive, don't have a car ourselves, and it's quite heavy to carry.
