My 16 year old grandson is interested in woodworking and has spent many many hours/days/weeks watching Youtube videos etc. He even wants to set up a mini workshop in my garage he can use after school, at the weekends etc.
He would like any carpentry tools that you don't need/use anymore, eg clamps, squares, chisels, forstner bits, router bits (I bought him a router for his birthday as his 1st project is going to build a router table - very ambitious), even an old table saw would be fantastic.
