The Eco Egg is a plastic egg that you fill with pellets and put in the washing machine. The idea is that the nice-smelling pellets get your clothes clean without the need for laundry detergent and fabric softener. Sadly I don't think it works very well - anyone out there who wants to give it a try? I put a new packet of pellets in it a week or so before giving up, so it should be good for at least 40 washes before you have to buy a new pack.
