IMPROVEMENTS TO PLAYTIMES

We are looking to improve our outside space for pupils at lunchtimes. We are aiming to have a variety of stations around the playground that children can visit and engage with in their free time.

In order to be able to put this in place quickly and cost effectively, we are asking our school community to please donate any of the following:
• Toy cars, garages, roads
• Craft materials, scrap paper/ card, pens, pencils, stencils, unused colouring books
• Sensory items such as windchimes, garden mirrors, garden decorations, ribbons
• Dressing up clothes and clothes that children can dress up in e.g. coats, hats, capes. Adult-sized clothes are ideal as children can wear these over their coats in the winter
• Children’s wellies
• Microphones (do not have to be working) and children’s musical instruments for a performance area
• Scooters and children’s cycle helmets
• Small-world toys e.g. Playmobil, Happy Land, Sylvanian Families, dolls’ houses
• Small construction toys e.g. Lego, building blocks, Jenga bricks
• Old saucepans, frying pans other kitchen items and utensils for a mud kitchen
• Complete board games, card games (e.g. Top Trumps) and children’s jigsaw puzzles
• Water/ paddling pool toys e.g. small watering cans, funnels
• Buckets and spades
• Trowels – adult and child size

We are also looking for some larger items for a large construction area. If you are able to donate any of these items, please contact Mrs. Rouse at the school.
• Tyres – car/ go-kart/ truck/ tractor
• Scaffold boards or similar
• Plastic pipes, guttering
• Pallets
• Rope
• Plastic crates e.g. Supermarket food delivery crates

We would be very grateful if all donations are in good condition and working order.

This will be an ongoing request so please think of us every time you are having a sort out!
