VHS Player (possibly faulty) (Eaton NR4)

VHS Player with Scart Lead. I just tried playing a tape through a Scart to HDMI converter but even though the tape appeared to play correctly, the TV wasn't picking up a signal from the HDMI socket. The player certainly worked the last time I used it so my suspicion is I've simply connected it wrongly. However it may indeed be faulty! If you have an older TV with a scart socket then it will be easier to test.

I'll include the scart to HDMI converter but this needs a standard (mobile phone-type) 5v USB supply (blue plug in the photo but NOT INCLUDED in the offer). You will also need a HDMI cable if you're not simply going to use the Scart lead.
