I am a Year 13 student at Pukekohe High School, working on a social action project with my group as part of our Social Studies course. Our project focuses on addressing the shortage of Ministry of Education loan devices for students.
Currently, our school prioritises Year 12 and 13 students for device loans due to a limited supply, which unfortunately means many junior students do not have access to the technology they need for their learning. This can create barriers to completing schoolwork, especially for those who do not have devices at home.
Our group has decided to take action by seeking device donations to support students who are missing out.
