I have a lot of darkroom equipment to give away for free. I am ill and do not have the time or energy to catalog and photograph and price it all out and deal with an endless selling process. It has been in storage for a long time. It will need some cleaning, but the majority of it will clean up well and be fully usable.
Sorry, I have no photos. Here's a rough idea of what I've got:
- Beseler 23C enlarger. Base plate might be warped, I don't remember for sure. I was going to screw it to my bench when I built my new darkroom here in SoCal, but that whole project was abandoned. Has been covered for years and should be fine to use. Have some lenses and lens boards and so on. I used to print on this one regularly and I don't know why it wouldn't still print just fine. But time is time and time has passed so no guarantees.
- Beseler 4x5 enlarger. Not in great shape, but with some work it should print. Have never used this one. I was going to use it for contact printing, but never did.
- Jobo processor. Don't remember the model, but I think it was an early one. Only used a few times. I will include this only if you take all of the other equipment that I am giving away.
- Print drying cabinet. It's a bit rough. I bought it to fix up and use, but never did. It would really be a luxury to dry your film in a filtered cabinet here in this dry country. Dust and lint are everywhere!
- All kinds and sizes of trays and jugs and measuring pitchers and print washers and so on. Some very expensive stuff here and some more mundane.
- One or two enlarger timers.
- Who knows what else might be in those boxes...
As I said, I do not have the time or energy to clean this all up or to deal with hordes of people and piece it all out. If you want any of it, come and get it all. You can toss what you don't want as long as you don't tell me. Or share it with friends or other photographers - bring them along with you if you like! - whatever. I just need it gone.
I have a truck and can even haul it home for you as long as it is not a ridiculous distance. Some of this stuff was high end equipment and I really do not want to see it just tossed without at least trying to get it to someone who will value it for what it is.
Please do not try to talk me out of individual items, except for the Jobo. The whole point of giving it all away is to avoid fussing with individual items.
I'm available most of this week and the coming weekend except for Thursday. After that we'll have to work something out. Prefer daytime: 9AM to 4PM, but the earlier you can come in that window, the better so we have some time for loading and such.
