Baby Stairs Safety Gate (Bacup OL13)

Our dog is being speyed middle of September and after her operation we don't want her climbing up & downstairs all time,she follows us around everywhere and if she ends up ripping stitches she be back at he vets again. So loking for basic stair gate (like ones used for toddlers to keep away from climbing),will Freegle back again once she has redcovered from her ordeal. Ideally Bacup area as no longer have a vehicle. Thanks in advance
