DVD recorder - non working (Seaton EX12)

Would anyone , perhaps someone who likes to try and fix electronic stuff, like this item? Out of the blue it suddenly would not switch on one evening. I took it to Seaton repair café, but after checking fuses in the plug and inside the recorder they decided it was a fault in the circuit board which was beyond their scope. Panasonic model DMR-EZ27EB
