DVD recorder - non working (Seaton EX12)

Would anyone , perhaps perhaps someone who likes to try and fix electronic stuff, like this item? Out of the blue it suddenly would not switch on one evening. I took it to Seaton repair cafe, but after checking fuses in plug and inside the recorder they decided it was a fault in the motherboard. Panasonic model DMR-EZ27EB
