This VAX U88-AM-TE was working but making a terrible noise when the brush was operating. I opened it up and found that the brush bar and end support were damaged which was why it was noisy. It is easy to find replacement brushbars online which are *Grooved* but this one is *Toothed* (see photo) and they are hard to find.
It couldn't be properly reassembled because of the broken parts so it is not working and is either suitable for spares or for someone who wants to have a go at tracking down the part or fitting a convertor kit.
If there is no interest then it is going to the dump.
