Camera battery 2CR5 working order (South Wootton PE30)

Hi I have been given a camera and would like to check if it's working before spending out on a battery that I may never use again. Doesn't have to be new just as long as it works. Thanks in advance. It's shape looks like 2 AA batteries joined together.
