Very good cosmetic condition. The screen has one minor blemish which is not noticeable in use - see photo.

This laptop has Chrome OS Flex installed *NOT* Microsoft Windows. It *CANNOT* run Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook or PowerPoint or other Windows software.

Sound is only audible using Bluetooth headphones or speakers, as Chrome OS Flex does not recognise the speaker / headphone system on this laptop model.

Chrome OS Flex is described by Google as 'a modern, cloud-based operating system that’s secure and easy to manage.' Chromebook laptops are very popular with schools. Chrome OS Flex can be installed on older computers and gives a very similar experience.

Works well for checking email e.g, Gmail, browsing websites, watching YouTube, and using Google Docs. Not suitable for playing modern games, graphic design or video editing.

Windows 11 *WILL NOT* install and run on this laptop (the processor is too old, not enough RAM, and it does not have a TPM module). Windows 10 *COULD* be installed but Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 10 in October this year so this is very strongly not advised.

The laptop features an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 @ 1.4 GHz, 2 GB RAM, a 32 GB eMMC disk, micro HDMI output, Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz) and Bluetooth connectivity, and two USB 2 ports.

Includes mains battery charger, soft carrying case and 1 metre Micro HDMI cable for connecting to TV or monitor.

Why might I ask people why they want a free laptop? Though rescued from the trash, I have spent some time (and a little money) refurbishing this laptop (cleaning, testing, installing Chrome OS Flex). The laptop therefore has some cash value, and I don't want traders to profit from my efforts.

I do all of this in my free time to help reduce electrical waste (and laptops have the highest embodied CO2 of all electrical goods).
