garden planning (Alta vista)

I'm finally ready to work on my backyard garden. I want to do it all myself, but I am having trouble with the planning and design phase. If anyone is passionate about these types of projects, I could really use the help. I'm hoping to use most of my own plants, as I have many. I'm available weekends, weekday evenings, and sometimes during weekdays. Thanks.
