toy, not working (Shipley, BD18)

We have a little robot, he is approx 10 inch tall, I bought him in a charity shop when our Granddaughter was a young child, he was well loved, then our Grandson came along and he played with him, one day he just stopped working, the batteries have never leaked,, he was never dropped ! Is there anybody out there that likes a challenge, I would love somebody to repair him, maybe just for the fun of it, and maybe give it to a young child for Christmas or put him back in a charity shop. It is probably just a loose wire, I just don't have the patience ! The remote takes a 9v battery, the robot takes 4 AA batteries
