Quince fruit (Maidenhead SL6)
Morning all, my quince tree is just about ready for harvesting its fruit. This is quince quince, not apple quince (so I understand). The tree was mature and here when we moved in in 1986. So if you want some of the fruit, let me know and we can do some picking. I understand it is good in some Iranian dishes, otherwise ideal for quince jelly/jam. I mix with apples and use for crumbles. Excess is lightly cooked and frozen, keeps fine. Evidently is high in pectin so a good addition to apple jam. The quantity depends on what you want so the ONE above is a bit misleading.
