Pie-Cherry Sapling (West Seattle)

This was a volunteer that we thought was a plum since it was growing next to our old plum tree. This year it got fruit for the first time, and it turns out that it's a pie cherry, undoubtedly the descendant of an ancient pie-cherry tree we had removed a few years ago. The sapling is about 6 feet tall now; the original cherry tree was about 20 to 25 feet tall (and had lovely white blossoms in the springtime).

I understand that Fall is the ideal time to transplant fruit trees so I've waited until now to post it here. I'll leave it in the ground until I have a firm commitment from someone who wants it.

Please respond only if you're truly interested and able to pick up and transport the sapling promptly. I'll probably "plant" it in a yard-waste bag with some dirt for the hand-off. (I don't know how big the roots are.)

Fair Chance Policy: I’ll wait before choosing a recipient to give more people a chance to reply.
