Books on CD (fantasy fiction) (Lawrenceville Suwanee Rd.)

I have a set of CDs for a three-book series called His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. Book 1, The Golden Compass, has 9 discs; book 2, The Subtle Knife, has 8 discs; and book 3, The Amber Spyglass, has 12 discs. They are unabridged and performed by a full cast. The series is generally considered appropriate for kids 12 and up. I discovered them as an adult, so I can't accurately judge how younger readers would respond, and of course that depends on the individual. I haven't played the CDs in several years because I now have digital downloads, but there were no problems with playback that I recall so they should be OK.
