Sewing machine and mannequin (March, Cambridgeshire)

Hi,
Ive recently discovered the Great British Sewing Bee.
I'd love to start making dresses for my granddaughters and even myself.
Does anyone have a machine or and bits I'd need to get started that are just gathering dust and feeling unloved please?. I'd really appreciate it and it would be idea to learn one that's been passed on as i don't have much spare cash to start a new hobby. Especially if i find out i can't do it.
