White chest of drawer/filing unit (Coulsdon, nr, train station)

Fantastic chest of drawers /filing unit .White with silver grey integrated handles and similar inlay .Security lock on top in perfect condition .This item is very strong and sturdy ,extremely well made .Problem is ,my grandson messed around with the lock and now I can’t open the drawers 😁.
My partner seems to think that someone could actually “resolve “ this issue or “adapt” somehow to serve its purpose?Have already bought an Ikea replacement ,but it’s just not the same high quality of this unit.I dearly hope someone can use as it’s far too good to waste 😉.
