Spiky mat & pillow - yoga/torture? (Central Tonbridge TN9)

Very good condition spiky mat, pillow, and carry case. Could be used in an eastern yoga/meditation practice, or perhaps torture, or maybe some strange pleasurable activity unfamiliar to me. Unlikely to draw blood, I would think.

I’m posting here in the hope that someone can make use of this obscure equipment and knows how to use it.
