View-Master for 3D reels (Goldhanger CM9)

This is a basic viewer that allows you to view “3D View-Master” picture reels. No reels are included. No batteries required - you just need a reel or three and a light source, ideally daylight.

The original was introduced in 1939 and I believe is still available new in some form or other. When I last looked the 3D Stereo image reels were available in shops but are usually limited to a few Disney and other children’s cartoons. However, on eBay there are hundreds of original reels from the 50s, 60s and 70s covering a wide variety of subjects from the space programme, undersea adventures, views of countries, cities, films, TV shows and more.
