Metal "cage," part of bird feeder (North Everett)

This is from a bird feeder that we used to have until a bear destroyed the rest of it. I thought that someone might be able to use it in some way, like to protect a plant, or ??? It is in good shape. It is 18 inches tall and 10 inches across.
