I bought this alarm clock as it had a very large digital display. However I found out when setting it up that the display only stays illuminated if the clock is plugged into the mains, not if it's running on battery power. The location in which I wanted to place the clock was too far away for the supplied 1 metre usb charging cable to reach an electrical socket. The clock measures 15cm by 5cm and takes 3 AAA batteries.
