dyson main suction thingy noisy (Blagdon BS40)

Our Dyson V10 I think ... started screaming at me, I spoke in a kind soft voice with no effect ... so I replaced it ... this piece still sucks but screams, then again it may be quiet for you?!?! battery and collector is attached to new part NOT INCLUDED
