Vintage Coccinelle Handbag - needs work. (Walton-on-Thames KT12)

1980s Coccinelle navy handbag - if I remember rightly it was pretty upmarket at the time (came from a fancy shop in Wilmslow) - I'd just got a bonus at work!. It has ordinary handles and and a detachable shoulder strap, with a chrome bar at the top. There is a stain on the fabric lining inside which will probably come off. It measures approx. 9.5" deep and 14" wide at the bottom.

It was very smart, but after geting it out of the drawer where it had been kept for years in a special bag, to take to the charity shop, it now looks looks this.
It seems that, for some reason, the bag stuck to it and that white marks in the photos are actually fibres from the storage bag. They do seems to come off with WD40, but there are probably other better ways of cleaning it up.

I don't have the interest or energy to take on this job and I wonder if anyone else wants to give it a go.

Seems such a shame to chuck it in the bin.
