7 x H Aynsley "old country roses" design plates 9" & 10" (Kempsey WR5)

7 x H Aynsley old country roses dinner plates: 3 x 10"/26cm wide & 4 x 9"/22cm wide. 1 x serving dish lid - no serving dish.
Slight surface scratching & wear/rubbing to the gold tone highlights otherwise good condition. H Aynsley & Co, Staffordshire brand. Old country roses pattern. White background with multicolour roses & gold tone highlights. Quite heavy weight & not suitable for microwave. **During the 1960s many factories copied the Royal Albert Old Country Roses pattern due to its popularity. This lead Royal Albert to copyright the pattern in 1972. The H Aynsley Potteries copies date from the 1960s and were produced in Staffordshire, UK. They are difficult to tell apart from the original Royal Albert Old Country Roses items but the rose garland is not quite as fine or rich in colour & the rim ribbing/fluting is slightly rotated**.
