I'm advertising this mattress as new - used because it's only been slept on for 3 nights before giving up as being too hard. It is VERY firm, but could be made more comfortable with a topper. There are no tears, marks or stains. There is a faint cigarette smoke smell as it was moved to a conservatory where people smoked, but I'm confident this will disappear after a bit of airing.
