HP printer 3835 needs attention (WOKING St Johns GU21)

On behalf of a friend offering this well- used printer which was working recently then had some ink error messages - works intermittently but scanner seems not to.

Was on HP ink subscription. Some installed.

Hope it can be of use to someone willing to provide TLC.
